Regular lesson

Meimeihyaku is an official Ikebana class of the Ohara school.

The Ohara school has many branches not only in Japan but also abroad. Based on the curriculum of the Ohara school, you will be working towards official certification. Through these classes it is possible to become a certified Ikebana teacher.

Fee   JPY 4,000 (2 lessons per month)

              The costs for flowers are not included.

Trial lesson (Domestic residents Only)

For those unsure about studying Ikebana, we can provide trial lessons.

Fee     JPY 3,000  (Flower costs included)

Duration 1 hour

Ikebana and Japanese tea ceremony

(Recommended for foreign visitors)

After Ikebana class, enjoy an authentic tea ceremony in the traditional Japanese room, overlooking the house’s beautiful garden. The tea ceremony demonstration lasts 30 minutes.

6 people maximum. Instruction in English or Japanese.

Private lessons are also available.

Fee     JPY 10,000 per person

                     (in case of a group of more than 2 persons)

                JPY12,000 per person for solo

Duration   90 min

Date       Wednesday afternoon or Sunday afternoon

               Please enquire in advance.

​               Reservation should be made 2 days earlier than

               the lesson date.
